SSRI also has a statistical computing lab, which has been recently upgraded to offer a ceiling-mounted projector to support and facilitate the efforts of the faculty and students who teach workshops in the lab.
This lab, which is available to faculty and students across the Duke campus, offers more statistical applications than any other lab on campus, providing access to the latest versions of many of the software packages used by researchers doing quantitative analysis, including ArcGIS, Maple, Mathematica, Mplus, R, SAS 9, S-Plus, SPSS 14, Stata SE 9, and Stat graphics. SSRI also provides a Stats Cluster, equipped with R, StataMP, and Matlab, and has worked to provide the social sciences with a ten node HPC Cluster.
