February 22-23, 2007
The Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) of Duke University hosted the inaugural interdisciplinary conference that
brought together a key group of founding participants. The
past few years has seen a marked growth in such centers and
institutes on university campuses across the country. The
purpose of this conference was to build a consortium oriented
to share ideas, strategies, and development plans so that
we could each best promote cutting edge social science research
and methods on our respective campuses and at the national
level.
